Teen Patti Star is a mobile three card game for Indian players. This site covers the app itself and the game behind it: how to install it, how blind and seen betting change what a hand costs you, and what the numbers say about the cards you are actually going to be dealt.
18+ only. Real money play involves financial risk. Play with money you can afford to lose.
Teen Patti Star is an Android app that runs Teen Patti tables against other people, for real money, on your phone. That is the whole product. If you have played the game at Diwali with cousins shouting across the table, you already know the rules. What changes online is the pace and the fact that you cannot see anyone's face.
The app goes by a few names depending on where you found it. Teen Patti Stars, 3 Patti Star, Star Teen Patti and Teen Patti Star 777 all point at the same category of game, and Indian search does not agree on the spelling any more than Indian households do. We cover the naming mess further down, because installing the wrong file is a genuine risk and the names are close enough to matter.
What this site is not: a promise that you will win. Teen Patti is a betting game with a house edge and a large luck component over any short run. What you can control is how much a hand costs you, and that turns out to be most of the game.
The one thing worth knowing before you install anything. In Teen Patti a player who has not looked at their cards pays half of what a player who has looked pays, for the same pot. Not a strategy tip. A rule. Most beginners give that away in the first thirty seconds of every hand.
Real money card apps are not distributed through the Play Store in India, so the install runs through an APK file. That is normal for this category and it is also where most of the risk sits.
Two things to refuse outright. Any file described as a Teen Patti Star pro APK with unlocked chips, and any old version APK offered as a way around a rule. Modified builds of real money apps exist to harvest logins. A 3 patti star APK download old version search is a common route into exactly that.
Check these against the file before you install it. A download that does not match is not the build described here.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| App name | Teen Patti Star |
| Version | 1.1.1 |
| APK size | 34.3 MB |
| Minimum Android | 5.0 Lollipop or later |
| Platform | Android only, installed from the operator's site rather than the Play Store |
| Price | Free to download. Real money tables need a deposit. |
| Permissions requested | Internet and network state, notifications, vibration, keep screen awake, background job scheduling, and the Google services used for push messages and install attribution. It does not ask for storage, contacts, location, camera, microphone, SMS or phone state. |
Keep more free storage than the download size. The APK is 34.3 MB, and the app pulls further assets down on first launch, so the space it ends up occupying is larger than the file you downloaded.
The short permission list is worth a second look, because it is the easiest way to spot a repackaged build. A genuine copy has no reason to ask for your contacts, your photos, your location or your SMS. If an installer requests any of those, it is not this app.
Version 1.1.1 · 34.3 MB · Android 5.0 or later · 18+ only
Everything else in Teen Patti is decoration on top of this.
After the deal you choose whether to look at your three cards. Play without looking and you are blind. Look, and you are seen for the rest of the hand. Your cards do not change. The price does.
| You are | Minimum bet | Maximum bet | Cost of calling a show |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blind | 1x | 2x | 1x |
| Seen | 2x | 4x | 2x |
A blind player contests the same pot at half price for as long as they stay blind. New players look immediately because it feels responsible, then pay double for the privilege of folding two rounds later. The habit that separates a player who lasts the evening from one who does not is staying blind while the stake is still small.
There is a second reason, and it has nothing to do with money. Nobody can read a blind player, including the blind player. There is no reaction to control and no tell to hide.
The full rules page works through a priced example hand, the sideshow, the tie-breaks that start arguments, and the variants where the rankings flip.
There are exactly 22,100 possible three card hands in a 52 card deck. They are not evenly spread.
| Hand | Combinations | Chance | Roughly once every |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trail (three of a kind) | 52 | 0.24% | 425 hands |
| Pure sequence | 48 | 0.22% | 460 hands |
| Sequence | 720 | 3.26% | 31 hands |
| Colour | 1,096 | 4.96% | 20 hands |
| Pair | 3,744 | 16.94% | 6 hands |
| High card | 16,440 | 74.39% | Most of the time |
Sit with the last row. Three hands out of every four are nothing but a high card. The player betting into you almost certainly has a high card too. Their confidence is a decision they made, not a hand they were dealt.
It also fixes what a good hand looks like. A pair puts you in the top quarter of everything that can be dealt, so a modest pair is worth playing rather than apologising for. A trail arrives about once in 425 deals. If you are waiting for one before you commit chips, you will pay boots all evening and win nothing.
Classic Teen Patti is the default. The lobby usually carries several rewrites of it, and strategy does not transfer cleanly between them.
Standard rankings, blind and seen betting, sideshow available. This is the version every other one is measured against, and the only one where the odds table above applies as written.
The worst hand wins. A trail of aces becomes worthless and 5-3-2 offsuit becomes the best holding in the game. Everything you learned about folding weak cards inverts.
Aces, kings, fours and sevens all play as jokers. Strong hands appear far more often, so a colour that would take a classic pot loses here regularly.
One card is nominated wild, either fixed before the deal or drawn at the start of the hand. Read which variant the table is running before you sit, because it changes the maths.
You chase a hand as close as possible to 999 instead of a ranked combination. Hand rankings do not apply at all.
Four cards each, and you build the strongest three out of them. Everybody holds better hands, so bets that would be brave in the classic game are ordinary here.
Whatever a table calls itself, read the rule panel before the first boot goes in. The names are not standardised across apps.
Each one answers a single thing properly rather than covering everything badly.
The long version. Hand rankings, the priced example hand, the sideshow, the tie-breaks nobody writes down, the variants, and the strategy that survives contact with a real table.
How boot sizes work, what a table limit does to a hand, deposits and withdrawals, and the checks worth running on any app before your money goes into it.
Signing in, OTP codes that do not arrive, getting back into an account after a phone change, and how to reach support when something is wrong with a balance.
The same ground covered in Hindi: rules, the blind and seen price difference, install steps and account help.
Transliterating a Hindi name into English has never had one right answer, which is why the searches are all over the place.
People arrive here having typed teen patti stars, teenpatti star, teen pati star, tin patti star, three patti star, teenpattistar, pattistars and teen patti ster. Some of those are spellings. Some are typing on a phone. They all mean the same game.
The numeric versions are the same story. 3 Patti Star, 3patti star and 3 patti star online are the same three cards. Teen Patti Star 777 is a naming convention borrowed from slot machines, where 777 signals a jackpot, and it does not describe a different game.
Where the spelling stops being harmless is at the download. Search a misspelling and you get results from sites that registered that misspelling on purpose. If you are looking for a teen patti star app download, a 3 patti star download or a teen patti star online table, start from the operator's own domain and type the address yourself rather than following a search result you have not checked.
The Hindi spellings behave the same way. तीन पत्ती स्टार and तीन पट्टी स्टार both circulate, and the Hindi page covers the same material for readers who would rather not work through it in English.
Online hands are dealt by a random number generator and every deal is settled independently of the one before it. There is no cycle, no due card, and no pattern hiding in the last twenty hands. The streak you think you can see is the same illusion people find in coin flips.
That is also the honest answer on predictor apps, hack files and any tool sold as a way to see other players' cards. If a program could read the deal, the operator would have no game left to run. What those downloads actually do is take your login. Every real teen patti star account that gets emptied started with someone installing something that promised an edge.
Nobody can tell you what the next hand holds. What you can do is stop paying full price for hands you have already looked at, fold the three quarters of deals that are a bare high card, and decide the evening's budget before you sit down instead of after.
There is normally a practice mode running on demo credit, with the same interface and the same odds as the cash tables. Real money tables need a deposit. Use the free tables first to learn where the buttons are, because the cash tables move quickly and a misclick costs a boot.
Play Store policy restricts real money gambling apps, and where they are permitted the developer needs a specific licence for that country. Most Indian real money card apps distribute an APK from their own site instead. It is a distribution decision rather than a sign the app is broken.
The 777 is a naming habit borrowed from slot machines, where three sevens signal a jackpot. It describes nothing about how the game works. Treat Teen Patti Star, Teen Patti Stars and Teen Patti Star 777 as the same search, and judge any download by the domain it sits on rather than by the number in the name.
No. The build is Android only, which is normal for real money card apps in India because they are distributed as APK files and iOS does not allow that route. There is no iPhone version to sideload either, so any site offering one is not offering this app.
The APK itself is 34.3 MB, and version 1.1.1 runs on Android 5.0 or later. Leave noticeably more free than that, because the app downloads the rest of its assets the first time you open it, so what it ends up occupying is larger than the file you installed.
You will find sites offering one. Do not use them. Old builds of real money apps are kept online mostly because they have been modified, and a modified gambling client is a login harvester. Install the current build from the operator's own domain.
Sign in on the new device with the same registered mobile number and complete the OTP. The balance sits with the account, not with the handset. If the number itself has changed, that becomes a support request rather than something you can fix from the login screen. The login page covers what support needs from you.
